VOTE On Saturday, November 8, 2025 at the AABJ Meeting.
As your incumbent President, I took on an organization in crisis and delivered immediate, responsible governance. Help me finish the job.
In March 2025, our chapter faced an emergency. The previous leadership violated your trust, leaving AABJ operations, finances, and programs in a deep hole. Your veteran leaders stepped up. Led by me, our team immediately:
Audited the books and launched a successful fundraising effort.
Raised nearly $70,000 in cash and in-kind support to ensure Atlanta shines for the national convention.
Made the hard but necessary decision to temporarily pause the Byline and In Contact until their production values meet the Emmy-winning standard you deserve.
Condace Pressley is the only candidate with a tested track record of handling organizational crisis and returning chapters to financial strength. As former NABJ President, she inherited a major financial deficit and left the national organization with a substantial surplus, a testament to her unparalleled fiscal discipline. Condace is a proven winner—leading AABJ the last time we were named Chapter of the Year and hosting the historic UNITY ’94 gathering. She is the experienced leader needed to stabilize AABJ and position us to win again.

My platform is a clear, actionable roadmap to restore AABJ to its Chapter of the Year status and secure its future for our 50th Anniversary.
1. Bring stability to AABJ finances, operations, and programs.
2. Position AABJ to host NABJ successfully in August 2026.
3. Create programming and raise money to celebrate AABJ’s 50th Anniversary.
4. Evaluate and revise AABJ’s governing documents.
5. Move aabj.org to a secure platform.
6. Evaluate and then relaunch both the Byline and AABJ In Contact.
7. Provide professional development programming to monthly meetings.
8. Develop the next generation of chapter leaders.
9. Restore our scholarship programs.
10. Strengthen ties with student chapters at UGA, GSU, KSU, and the AU Center.
Stability is achieved, but the job of building AABJ’s next 50 years is just beginning. We need tested leadership to execute the 10-Point Plan, position us for the 2026 NABJ Convention, and restore our Chapter of the Year status.
Don’t settle for anything less than proven, accountable leadership. Don’t risk the progress we’ve made.
AABJ Voting happens Saturday, November 8. Review the plan, share our message, and cast your vote.
